  7. Feb 6, 2024 · This movie makes no sense. Dick Powell doesn’t want to follow in his admiral father’s footsteps and go to the Naval Academy. But his father gets him to take the entrance exams by doubting he could pass them. Then when he does he feels obligated to attend, all the time saying that he has no intention of excepting a commission.
