The Unofficial Skyrim Patch, version 1.3.2, fixes this bug. Sleep right after finishing the Innocence Lost quest (speaking with Aventus Aretino for the second time). This may trigger the courier's delivery or your awakening inside the shack.
With Friends Like These... is a quest available in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. After the quest " Innocence Lost " has been completed, a courier will appear and give the Dragonborn a note with the imprint of a black hand and the words "We Know" written beneath it.

Feb 21, 2020 · They chose, stalked, and kidnapped these 3 for a reason. There are simpler ways to test someone. Dark Brotherhood doesn’t kill randoms without reason, they want payment in exchange, which makes me believe all 3 were marked for death for them to have gone through this much trouble.

This quest begins after the Dragonborn kills Grelod the Kind and subsequently receives a Mysterious Note via courier bearing the sign of the Dark Brotherhood. After the note has been delivered, the next time the Dragonborn sleeps, he wakes up in an Abandoned Shack and is greeted by Astrid .
