Season Recap: Tang San, after committing suicide for learning the Inner Sect Secrets of the Tang Sect when he wasn't allowed, is reborn into the Douluo Continent, finds out he has both Blue Silver Grass and Sky Hammer Souls, meets Grandmaster (Yu Xiaogang) and Xiao Wu at Nuoding Academy, gets his first Ring, enters Shrek Academy, meets fellow students Dai Mubai, Oscar, Ning Rongrong, Zhu Zhuqing, and Ma Hongjun, meets Headmaster Flender and teacher Zhao Wuji, does training and bonding with his new friends, goes to the Star Duo Forest to help get Rings for his friends (and himself), Wu gets temporarily kidnapped by the (Er Ming) Giant Ape (when the kids are getting their next Rings in the forest) with San desperately pursuing, gets caught in a trap of a Man Faced Demon Spider and almost dies, finds himself back at the Tang Sect but chooses to die again to return to the Douluo Continent, wakes up back in his new life and kills the Spider.

Season Recap: Wu finds her way back to the group after cultivating her 3rd Ring, San gets his Third Ring and first Soul Bone with difficulty, the kids are dubbed with the title the Shrek Seven Devils and are entered into the Arena to get fighting experience, meets and fights the Emperor Teams which includes Yu Tianheng and Dugu Yan (Qin Ming is introduced), Mubai and Zhuqing first time using Spirit Fusion, San makes more Tang Sect Weapons, Shrek goes to merge with the Imperial Academy to participate in the Continental Academy Dueling Tournament, but are rebuffed by the Heaven Duo Empire’s king’s brother Xue Xing, Shrek then goes to interview for the Blue Tyrant Academy and finds it is run by Liu Erlong (Xiaogang’s old love who still loves him, third member of the Golden Iron Triangle with Xiaogang and Flender), Erlong names Flender the new Dean, San gets kidnapped by Dugu Bo, persuades Dugu Bo to trust him in curing his self-poisoning (and later befriends him), gets access to the Ice and Fire Yin Yan Well and all the rare herbs that grew there (which he took quite a bit of), Blue Tyrant Academy is renamed Shrek, Dugu Bo joins Shrek as a teacher, Wu gets the Yearning Heartbroken Red, the kids power up using rare herbs from the Well, Wu and San go to an auction and meet Ning Fengzhi (Rongrong’s father) and Chen Xin, San meets Tai Nuo and Tai Long and later Tai Tan of the One Strength Clan, Rongrong convinces her father that San’s Hidden Weapons can be used to protect the Treasure Clan, San learns he is from the Clear Sky Hammer Clan, the kids all get to level 40 and get their 4th Rings, with San’s being a Black (10,000 year) one, ‘new’ Shrek students Huang Yuan, Jing Ling, Jiang Zhu, and Tai Long join the Shrek Seven Devils to participate in the Tournament, Shrek wins the first round soundly, Crown Prince of Heaven Duo Empire Xue Qinghe meets with San, Shrek defeats the Elephant Armored Academy, San is ambushed by Blue Sunshine Academy teacher Shi Nian (San has to kill him and gains a Soul Bone), Shrek beats Blazing Academy, Shrek beats Blue Sunshine Academy but they attempt to kill the Shrek team and San reflects their own attack back at them (but since the view of the field is blocked and the damage is severe to them San gets in trouble, which Xiaogang bails him out of), Shrek is matched up with the Skywater Academy for the preselection rounds.

Season Recap: Xiaogang confronts Bibi Dong about San, San is targeted by Yue Guan and Gui Mei but is saved by Dugu Bo, Chen Xin, and Ning Fengzhi, Xiaogang leaves disappointed in Bibi Dong, Shrek makes it to Martial City, Shrek enters the Arena and beats Long Kui Academy in their first round, next round against Star Luo Imperial Academy where Mubai’s and Zhuqing’s older siblings (Dai Weisi and Zhu Yun) are members, after a long and complicated battle (where Mubai’s and Zhuqing’s Soul Fusion gets wings) Shrek finally wins, Mubai fears Martial Hall will continue to target San and offers him and Wu a place in the Star Luo Empire, Martial Hall Academy beats the Imperial Academy soundly, Shrek takes on Godwind Academy again and San’s teammates fuse their power with his allowing him to beat Feng Xiaotian before he could get any momentum (San also almost looses control of the power but snaps out of it at the sound of his father’s voice warning him), Martial Hall Academy vs Shrek Academy begins with siblings Xie Yue and Hue Liena using Soul Fusion to fuse into Charm Demon and fight San in the Genie’s Mesmerize mist

Season Recap; San manages to take down 6 of the 7 Martial Hall Academy competitors (including Xie Yue and Hu Liena) using his poison, Martial Hall surrenders, Shrek wins the Tournament and gets the 3 prize Soul Bones, Wu is targeted because it is revealed she is a Spirit Beast in human form, Tang Hao intervenes and takes San and Wu away, Wu returns to her home in the Star Duo Forest, San decides to get a lot stronger so he can protect her, Hao starts training San how to use his Hammer (mainly without Soul Power), Oscar finds out he can’t be with Rongrong thanks to her Clans rules and goes out on a journey to gain the power he needs, Hu Liena goes to Slaughter City, San awakens as the Blue Silver Emperor (which completely changes his appearance to resembling his appearance from his old life), San learns his father is still suffering from old injuries, Hao takes San to the entrance of Slaughter City and tells him to train there and come back alive, San takes on Slaughter City Arena and meets Hu Liena there (she does not recognize him and knows him as Tang Yin), the two each get 100 wins and challenge Hell Road together to get the Domain of the Death God, they get through the challenges of Hell Road and near the exit.

San and Liena make it out of Hell Road and gain the Domain of the Death God, Hao takes San to meet his sister (San’s Aunt) Yue Hua to teach San etiquette and how to control his new Domain, after a year San graduates his Aunt’s class at the top and returns to Hao (who has destroyed his own arm and leg to remove his Soul Bones), Hao tells San how he and his brother met Ah Yin (San’s Mom), San learns that the Clear Sky Clan had exiled Hao due to pressure from Martial Hall and (unreasonably) blaming Hao for the previous Clan Chief’s death, Hao gives San 3 Soul Bones; one from Ah Yin which San absorbs and the other two are to be returned to the Clear Sky Clan, San replants Ah Yin’s Blue Silver Grass form at the Yin Yang Well (Ice and Fire Lake) to speed up her growth, Liena is proclaimed Bibi Dong’s successor and Martial Hall finds out where Wu is, San goes to the (hidden) Clear Sky Clan, meets his uncle Tang Xiao, gives the Clan Hao’s two Soul Bones as his father had requested, requests to take on his father’s ‘sins’ to repay the Clan in his stead, is tested by the Clan Elders, passes the first test and is given 3 objectives to fulfill for the Clan to forgive and reinstate his father; kill a Martial Hall Douluo, hit level 80, and get a 100,000 (red) Ring for his 8th Ring (all with in 10 years), San returns to Shrek and meets up with Mubai, Zhuqing, Rongrong, and Hongjun (who at first don’t recognize him leading to an amusing altercation), Oscar meanwhile gets his 6th Ring which allows him to copy other Soul Master’s Souls and Rings up to 70% of their power (he also gets a Soul Bone), the 5 at Shrek have a mock fight with Flender and Zhao, Martial Hall decide to be a-holes and attack the Treasure Clan and Blue Tyrant Dragon Clan (severely harming the first but completely annihilating the second).

San goes to the Star Duo Forest to find Wu, runs into the Martial Hall hunting party, tricks them (using his identity as ‘Tang Yin’ with Hu Liena, who had joined the hunting party) into letting him join them, the hunting party encounters Wu, Er Ming (Bull Python), and Da Ming (Titan Ape) at the lake in the center of the forest, they attempt to capture Wu but San (with some help of Er Ming and Da Ming) pulls her away and the two attempt to escape, are tracked then surrounded by Martial Hall, San attempts to fight them off while trying to get Wu to escape via the sky, San is seriously injured and uses a sacrificial maneuver to block Martial Hall’s path to Wu, Wu decides to use ‘Sacrifice’ to save San instead (giving San her Ring and Soul Bone), San wakes up later in the meadow next to a pink rabbit and the Yearning Heartbroken Red flower, identifying the rabbit as Wu’s original form he feeds her the petals of the flower to stabilize her, Er Ming and Da Ming share that Wu can be brought back with certain herbs, San leaves the forest and encounters Dugu Bo in the city, Dugu tells San that the Emperor is poisoned and that the Crown Prince Xue Qinghe is the suspect (also what happened to the Treasure and Tyrant Dragon Clan), San returns to Shrek and gets further updated on events, he decides to create a Tang Clan modeled after the Tang Sect with Hidden Weapons, asks Hongjun to join, encounters Oscar (who also hadn’t recognized him, lol), reunites Oscar with Rongrong (finally) and the others, gets support of the Ning Fengzhi and what’s left of the Treasure Clan for Tang Clan, visits Chief Tai Tan and the One Strength Clan who agrees to be a part of Tang Clan, visits the meeting place where the other 3 Clans that had supported the Clear Sky Clan (before the Clear Sky Clan had just up and abandoned them when they went into hiding) were having their yearly meeting (One Strength Clan had been the 4th Clan that had supported the Clear Sky Clan), after several tests manages to convince Chief Niu Gao of the Defense Clan to join Tang Clan, defeats Bai Chenxiang of the Agility Clan, has challenged Chief Bai He of the Agility Clan.

San wins against Bai He who states the Agility Clan will join Tang Clan if the Destruction Clan does, Hongjun starts to try to romance Chenxiang, San gets one of the herbs that will help Wu (who eats it before he can do anything with it), San meets Chief Yang Wudi of the Destruction Clan (not a pleasant first meeting), the two fight and San almost loses but Wu’s Soul steps in and kicks Wudi’s butt, Wu’s bunny form reverts to her human form (but soulless since her Soul is still in her Ring in San), Destruction Clan and Agility Clan join Tang Clan (with San partially bribing Wudi with a rare herb, lol), San and Hongjun return to Shrek and encounter the Four Elements Academy (formally Blazing, Godwind, Thunderclap, and Skywater Academy who had joined together), San takes on Feng Xiaotian, Huo Wu, and her brother Huo Wushuang together and wins, San, Wu’s body, Rongrong, Oscar, Hongjun, and Tai Tan leave for the Gengxin (the Metal Capital), to get materials to create Hidden Weapons (Xiaogang giving San Hao’s Martial Hall Warrant), there they meet Master Blacksmith Luo Gao who, enthralled with San’s Hidden Weapons, decides to join the Tang Clan, Rongrong finds and purchases a lot of rare and valuable minerals and metals, the group has an altercation with soldiers from Martial Hall (which is resolved later when San kills them all when they try to attack the Blacksmith’s Auction Hall to steal everything), the group return to the newly renovated Tang Clan Compound and update everyone via a meeting, the kids return to Shrek (finding out the Four Elements Academy has now joined Shrek thanks to Flender’s coercion skills), Dugu meets San there telling him the Emperors’ poisoning has gotten worse, San, Dugu, and Wudi go to the Palace but are stopped by the guards, Crown Prince Xue Qinghe goes out to ‘greet’ them, San surmises the soldiers are from Martial Hall, Qinghe confirms if before asking San to join him, San rejects him (multiple times), Qinghe reveals he’s not the actual Crown Prince but is the child of the former Pontiff of Martial Hall (Qian Xunji), San, Dugu and Wudi have to fight off the guards and two Martial Hall Douluo (Ci Xue and Yu Long), San fights Qinghe who is a higher level then him and while managing to land some good hits and break Qinghe’s Angel Domain runs out of Soul Power, Qinghe goes to land a final blow but San delays him by asking who he really is, Qinghe reveals that he is actually a beautiful girl named Qian Renxue, San still rejects joining her so she goes to kill him again, Wu then manages to briefly reunite her Soul and body to help San and defeat a weakened Renxue, Xiaogang, Erlong, and Flender arrive to help San and the others, San, Dugu, and Wudi get to the king and get him out of the palace with the help of 4th Prince Xue Beng, the Emperor regains consciousness long enough to announce Xue Beng as Crown Prince, Renxue returns to Martial Hall and joins her grandfather in the Hall of Elders to train, Xiaogang decides to send San and the other Shrek Devils to Haishen (Sea God) Island to train.

Dugu Bo joins the Tang Clan, Mubai and Zhuqing return to Shrek, Chenxiang joins the Shrek Devils in going to Haishen Island, San and Wu have their engagement ceremony at the Yin Yang Well with Hao and Ah Yin, the Shrek Devils (minus Wu) have a spar against Chen Xin, Xue Beng officially apologizes to San for what he did years ago, San is given a noble position and title of Beng’s Teacher, San receives the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud as a gift from the Empire, San connects to and absorbs the Shroud (getting the Sea God Poseidon’s attention), the Shrek Devils plus Chenxiang leave for Haishen (on the way they are attacked by and have to kill a pack of Bandit Wolves), they arrive at the pier city Han Sea City, Hongjun and Chenxiang participate in a match at the City’s Arena, they go to one of the City’s Auctions and get a boat that can go under water like a submarine, the kids decide to hire a boat for the first leg of the journey across the ocean, the boat ended up being manned by pirates with the captain betraying them and leading them into the Deep Sea Demon Whale’s territory, they are attacked by the Whale and San gets separated from the others when he stays to delay the Whale so they can get away, Poseidon steps in to save San from the Whale and sends San to Purple Pearl Island (where he is healed by Ji Xiang, who San later helps unlock his Soul Powers), San finds his friends ‘captured’ by the Purple Pirates and challenges their Captain (Zi Zhenzhu) to a match, San wins and becomes the new Purple Pirates Captain, Zi Zhenzhu takes the kids to the boundary of Haishen Island Territory and they go the rest of the way to the Island via the Dragon Boat (one they got at auction) and the Shroud (which lets them walk/breath/hide underwater), they arrive on the Island and encounter the natives, they ask to partake in the Sea God’s Trials (to the natives’ surprise), they are taken to the Sea Horse Douluo who immediately gives them a pretest, they pass, the Sacred Pillar is activated and they are given their Trial Difficulty Ranks (Low to high is Yellow, Purple, Black, Red, then Gold, with Black difficulty being Douluo Level, Red being on the Guardian Bo Saixi level, and Gold being God Level); Chenxiang gets Yellow; 1 Level, Zhuqing gets Black; 5 Levels, Oscar gets Black; 6 Levels, and Hongjun gets Black; 6 Levels, Mubai gets Black; 6 Levels, Rongrong gets Red; 7 Levels, Wu gets Red; 7 Levels, and San gets Gold; 9 Levels, the kids then meet Bo Saixi who comes to greet them and explain a few things, the kids learn that if they don’t pass all their Levels they will die, Wu is to accompany San for all his Trials, and if San fails it won’t only affect him but Haishen itself since he is now Poseidon’s Successor.
