The fourth season of Stargate Atlantis, an American-Canadian television series, began airing on September 28, 2007 on the US-American Sci Fi Channel. The fourth season concluded after 20 episodes on March 7, 2008 on Sci Fi.
The fourth season of Stargate: Atlantis began airing on the Sci-Fi Channel in the US on September 28, 2007. This season, it moved to a new timeslot: 10:00pm Eastern/Pacific time, 9:00pm Central. The premiere, "Adrift", picks up seconds after the events of "First Strike", the season 3 finale.
S4.E1 ∙ Adrift. With a damaged ZPM, and diminished hopes of survival, the Atlantis team finds themselves stranded in the middle of empty space with hardly any time before they run out of power completely. Dr. McKay is challenged to the max as he tries to find a way to save Atlantis from its doom.
Floating in deep space with the city's protective shield failing, the team must do all they can to keep Atlantis alive. Meanwhile, a radical injury threatens Dr. Weir's life.

Once in Atlantis, the group finds the city abandoned; asleep for tens of thousands of years, and no power source left for a return home. They must find a power source within Atlantis' own Pegasus galaxy using the same Stargate system that got them there or they will be stranded forever.
