- 'Street Talk' (Steve Perry, 1984) Ballads and mid-tempo songs remain this album's strength, as more rock-focused stuff like "Strung Out" – one of four Top 40 hits to emerge from Perry's solo debut – could have used a little more Journey-type musculature.
- 'Abraxas Pool' (Gregg Rolie and Neal Schon, 1997) Almost everyone from the early-'70s edition of Santana regathered for this project, so hints of their initial successes were to be expected.

This is a review of the standard/international edition. It will be updated with word on the additional 5 tracks ASAP.

Consisting of ten songs, Traces is best described as a very emotional album.

Oct 4, 2018 · Time away from music has been nothing but kind to Steve Perry and Traces is a terrific journey through the singer’s life. Personal storytelling as a artist is tough without sounding self absorbed, but Perry, now with renewed vigor, sees honesty as his best policy.
