2. Steven Bauer (born Esteban Ernesto Echevarría Samson; December 2, 1956) is an American actor. Bauer began his career on PBS, portraying Joe Peña, the son of Cuban immigrants on ¿Qué Pasa, USA? (1977–1979). He played Manolo "Manny" Ribera, the right-hand man of Cuban drug lord Tony Montana, in the 1983 crime drama Scarface.

After Tony begins having trouble with bank fees, with the constant money that rolls in from the drug business, Manny suggests going to another person, Seidelbaum. While counting money and converting the millions to checks, Seidelbaum reveals himself as a cop, who arrests Tony for tax evasion.
- Pacino conceived the film during a rare trip to Los Angeles. The Godfather star was walking with friends on Sunset Boulevard in the late 1970s when he walked into a movie house that was playing a 1932 drama titled Scarface.
