Laura Linney and Ellen Page headed up the sequel as Mary Ann and Shawna respectively, but Linney has been there from the very beginning, appearing in the 1993 original of the same name, More Tales of the City in 1998, and Further Tales of the City in 2001, as did Olympia Dukakis (Anna). The sequel, which aired on June 7 this year, is available to watch now on Netflix. But series one and two are both available to watch on All4 in the UK. And the original will also be hitting Netflix US, Canada and Australia on June 28, with More Tales of the City and Further Tales of the City also being added to the latter two. In the US, Showtime ...
The most recent series was the longest to date with ten episodes (series one had just five, and series two was slightly longer with six). So if it does return, it's hard to say exactly what will be on offer.
Season two is currently up in the air, but if it is greenlit, we'd probably expect it to hit Netflix next year. Watch this space for updates.
