The Blackwater Lightship is a 2004 Hallmark Hall of Fame made-for-television drama film adaptation of the novel The Blackwater Lightship by acclaimed Irish author Colm Tóibín. It aired on CBS on February 4, 2004.
When his A.I.D.S. reaches the terminal stages, gay Declan Kehoe (Keith McErlean) returns to his Irish coastal home, or actually grandma's, near a lightship site. Caring boyfriends help him and his whining female relatives deal with unresolved family issues, as well as his physical syndrome.
Based on Colm Toibin's novel, drama follows three generations of women who move to Ireland to take care of the youngest woman's brother as he succumbs to AIDS.
