The Silent Passenger (1935): As a keen Dorothy Sayers fan, this is a movie I've always wanted to see. Admittedly, it's not based on any of the Sayers novels dealing with Lord Peter Wimsey, but on what Miss Sayers described as a "theme" which she sold to the film company.
The Silent Passenger: Directed by Reginald Denham. With John Loder, Peter Haddon, Austin Trevor, Aubrey Mather. A blackmailer with many enemies is murdered and his body placed in a trunk. A gentleman sleuth sets out to prove the innocence of a falsely accused man.

Review by BrianNaas ★★½. This is the first Peter Wimsey story put on to the screen. It was actually not based on one of Dorothy Sayer's novels but was written by her for the film.
