In the first challenge the player wakes up in a dark room with a contraption placed on their head. They are ordered by a judge working a television screen to use keys on a table to unlock a chest which contains a key to remove the contraption on their head.
After unlocking the contraption the players are sent into a room filled with several chests. Most of the chests are empty while seven of them contains keys to seven other doors. Players must find a key for one of the doors before the room is filled with deadly gas.
Seven of the doors all lead into three rooms. The room on the left, the room on the middle and the room on the right. Players who got the key for the middle room are lucky as they do not have to do anything. After leaving the rooms the players are forced into a carousel. The carousel will turn based on the options the users pick. The users can either pick whether the carousel will make one clockwise turn or not turn at all. One of the players will be killed by a Shotgun attached on the floor.
The players are now on a room. They must walk on a very thin metal rod in order to make it into an area with keys that will unlock the room.
The players are now ordered to walk through an obstacle course. The players must avoid spikes to prevent themselves from being slowed down and then click on a fence and then turn a boat controller to remove the fence. They must repeat this process until all fences are cleared and they can get access to a key to unlock the room.
In the finale two players are attached to two seats facing the opposite direction. They must press a button to move a Saw to one another. The game ends when one player remains.
Phase 3 is the upcoming third phase of The Trials. While production is currently halted, the phase's release is expected in early to mid 2024. [4] As stated by Zelnus, Phase 3 is set to have 19 amusement park-themed trials. [4]
