Apr 20, 2023 · Grace celebrated the upcoming Tom Roy - UPI Park during a ceremony at the Lancers' baseball field. The renovations will take place this summer, including a new backstop, netting system and team dugouts. Groundwork will also be laid for future phases of the project.

Jan 1, 2022 · Tom Roy Field at Grace College. When Tom Roy founded UPI in 1980, he did so with the belief that he could use the game of baseball to impact young lives, coaches, families and fans. Our mission with Grace Baseball is the same, and it has been the same since 1960 — to use our platform to change lives for Christ.
By Keith Madison. Tom Roy is the president and founder of UPI. He played minor league baseball in the Giants organization and has coached at the high school and college level. He has also been a team chaplain for the Chicago White Sox and has conducted baseball camps and clinics internationally.
We were made to experience a life of unlimited potential. And until we discover this life, we will always feel like something is missing. In 1980, Tom Roy stepped out in faith and started a small ministry that was specifically focused on professional baseball players.

UPI is an international, 42-year-old organization that ministers to professional baseball players. Roy has been discipling baseball players on and off the field for several decades, and the new stadium will help honor that legacy.
