Dec 21, 2023 · Sue Aikens is now living along the Kavik River, where she has been for a very long time. She lives mostly in isolation in the Kavik River Camp, which she also owns. Those closest to her live almost 200 miles away on the north of the Arctic Circle.

Redington recounted what happened, writing: Yesterday while I was mushing my dog team on the corridor a snowmobile purposely went on to he left side of the trail at a high rate of speed and struck multiple dogs and two dogs have broken legs.
The rescued and adopted husky mix, named Kävik; in honor of the founder’s dog, the family has chosen to use Kavik as the rescue name. This husky mix was scheduled to be euthanized due to injury-causing behavior along with other behavioral problems.
