Dec 28, 2002 · My ammo selection has been based on performance (accuracy/precision) and price rather than reliability. I have found my 1911 really performs best with 124gr 9mm. Groups are much tighter than with any 115gr rounds I've tried. Of course, 124gr rounds tend to be more difficult to find at a good (low) price.
