Mr McCrorie, who taught chemistry and was assistant rector at Greenock Academy, was 78 years old and lived in Greenock all his life.

  4. Jun 15, 2012 · Ian’s father taught Primary 7 at Greenock Academy until 1951. Ian was a pupil there from 1946 till 1959 (in the Nelson Street building) in both primary and secondary departments. He was Head Boy of the school in session 1958-59.
