    • The value and novelty. "My husband and I have been Costco fanatics for 20 years in the four states we've lived in. We have a Costco list of 74 things we typically buy—the majority of which we only buy at Costco because of the value, quality, and/or uniqueness.
    • The added perks. "Apart from convenience, it's the kickbacks you get that hinges me to shop at Costco every time so that I feel my loyalty to the store is being [acknowledged].
    • The friendly employees. "I love Costco because they have a plethora of organic produce, wild fish, organic meats and chicken, organic coffee, as well as some of my favorite mom-and-pop brands that pop up there surprisingly.
    • The great grocery prices. "The grocery prices are fantastic. We often shop for a full month's worth of groceries at once at Costco, reducing our average spend by about $300-400 compared to the grocery store.
    • Competitive prices on everything you buy. Costco has a well-deserved reputation for affordable prices, and that applies to its entire inventory, so it's easy on your personal finances.
    • Being able to stock up by buying in bulk. Buying in bulk normally saves you money, as long as you use everything you buy. Costco is known for its bulk items, including food and household essentials.
    • High-quality store brand products. Store brand products can be hit or miss, but Costco's Kirkland Signature is a hit with shoppers. Kirkland Signature products tend to be about 20% cheaper than products from comparable brands.
    • Filling up at Costco gas stations. Costco warehouse clubs often have the lowest gas prices in the area. A GasBuddy analyst found that Costco's gas was usually $0.05 to $0.25 cheaper than standard gas stations.

    • Free samples. Let’s start with the obvious. On some days, usually busy shopping days, Costco literally gives out free food. You can do a loop of the grocery area and enjoy samples of sausage, artichoke dip, cheese and crackers, appetizers, candies, various beverages, etc.
    • The food court. While the samples are great because they’re free, the food court at Costco has some pretty affordable options. There’s the famous $1.50 all-beef hot dog combo, pizza by the slice or pie, sandwiches, salads, desserts, and more.
    • Bulk deals. While regular grocery stores sell plenty of items, they don’t have the bulk selection that Costco does. From 30-packs of toilet paper to giant jars of peanut butter to enough supplements to last you months, everything's bigger at Costco.
    • Friendly and helpful staff. Sometimes you may have to wait in long lines at Costco, but by the time you get to the front, the staff is always pleasant.
