They never responded but I never received another cd in the mail from them so I'm guessing the canceled that contract lol. So of course this got the old gears turning and I did the same thing with BMG. Then again later with Columbia House with my younger brothers name. Then when CH started doing the same with dvds I did it again.
My first “troll account” was when BMG started calling the house and telling my mom I owed for the CD of the month. I was like, “mom, I used the name Nellie Olson, Nellie owes the money.”. Devious of me at 14 but I definitely did it a few more times. My very last CD was Maxwell’s maxi-single for Ascension.
But I do know BMG and Columbia House built my family's tape and CD collection way up with those "price of 1" and "99 cents" scams, lol. One of those two used to send us CDs we didn't even request, and most of the time my mother would just keep them. She was mostly into urban music, which meant the pop and rock went straight into my collection.
