Brian Evan Anthony Davies OP (born 7 July 1951) is a British philosopher, Roman Catholic priest, and friar. He is Distinguished Professor of Philosophy, Fordham University (since 1995), and author of An Introduction to the Philosophy of Religion, now in its fourth English edition, which has been translated into five languages.

Animal welfare activist Brian Davies, who founded IFAW, died on 27 December 2022 at the age of 87, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to help countless animals around the world into the future.
Brian Davies (4 February 1935 – 27 December 2022) was a Welsh animal welfare activist who founded three major international animal welfare organizations, Network for Animals (NFA), Animal Survival International (ASI) and the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW). Davies retired from the IFAW in 2003, but remained active at the NFA and ASI.

Biography. Actor Brian Davies was widely known for his presence on the silver screen. In the early stages of his acting career, Davies starred in action films like "Up From the Beach" (1965) starring Cliff Robertson and "Convoy" (1978). He also appeared in the TV movie "The Deerslayer" (NBC, 1978-79).
