Simply tap the green map icon near the right corner of Pokémon GO’s in-game map to access Campfire and view all the Raid Battles and Flare activity around you.

Niantic have introduced a new social app called Campfire that allows players of their games to connect, discover new in-game activities, and much more!
Campfire is a new social app that helps Niantic Explorers discover new people, places and experiences around them. Whenever you open Campfire, you’ll see a dynamic map of your surrounding area, complete with game experiences and activities from friends and other players dropped in specific locations nearby.
Some of the key features of Campfire include:
•Nearby Communities
•Use this feature to easily find other players in your local area. Open the discover page in your Communities tab to join new communities, meet players, and coordinate events.
•Niantic Friends
•Add and manage your friends across all Niantic titles.
In Pokémon GO, Trainers can share Raid locations with friends in a direct message – or group chat – making it easy to get a team together quickly and efficiently. Or if you’re playing on your own, you can tap a specific place on the map and you’ll see the option to add a Flare to that location. Flares act as a call to action to all nearby players, ...
