is an American Victorian fantasy show that began streaming on Prime Video on Labor Day weekend. An Amazon Original production, it stars Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne and is executive produced by René Echevarria, Travis Beacham, Marc Guggenheim, Jon Amiel, and Bloom himself.

Its first season, which was released in 2019, consisted of eight, hour-long episodes. The series was picked up for a second season prior to the season 1 premiere, and was released in 2023 after a four-year hiatus.

The series depicts a world of three major continents and several species — most of whom are locked in interracial conflict. Within this world exists a bustling place called Carnival Row where, when the series begins, we discover there have been a series of gruesome murders. Broadly, the series concerns the efforts of a human detective named Philo (Bloom) to solve the crimes, and what a faerie named Vignette (Delevingne) may — or may not — have to do with them.

Along the way, they both meet a variety of interesting characters and work against the political backdrop largely engineered by Chancellor Absalom Breakspear.

On January 9, 2015, it was announced that Amazon had signed a development deal for the series which, at the time had Guillermo del Toro on board as a co-writer, executive producer, and director. The series, set to be co-written by del Toro, Travis Beacham, and Rene Echeverria, is based on a feature film spec script written by Beacham, entitled A Killing on Carnival Row. The company ordered three scripts with the expectation that if the series went into production del Toro would direct the first episode. On June 6, 2016, it was reported that the production had been given a pilot order with the previously announced creative team still set to be involved.

In July 2019, Amazon renewed the series for a second season.

In March 2020, production was suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak, but two months later, it was resumed.

Production on the second season commenced in November 2019, but stopped in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. As of the first week of May, preparations for resumption of production were underway.
