Built in 1933 as a memorial to San Francisco’s volunteer firefighters who had died during the great earthquake and in other incidents, Coit Tower has been a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike.
Coit Tower is located in the Telegraph Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. At 210' tall it is a prominent feature and provides panoramic views of Fishermen's Wharf, San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. A nonresident elevator fee for adults/children of $8/$5 is collected.
