Port Isaac (Cornish: Porthysek) is a small fishing village on the Atlantic coast of north Cornwall, England, in the United Kingdom. The nearest towns are Wadebridge and Camelford, each ten miles (16 km) away. A nearby hamlet, Port Gaverne, is sometimes considered to be part of Port Isaac.
Port Isaac is a traditional fishing village in North Cornwall and is home to TV favourite Doc Martin, and our favourite shanty singers, Fisherman's Friends. Set amidst stunning coastal scenery, you can understand why it’s become something of a film star.

Located in the middle of the North Cornwall coast the village is a perfect jumble of whitewashed fisherman's cottages spilling down to the harbour along some unfeasibly narrow lanes.

Port Isaac (©IanWool) Port Isaac, with its winding streets and busy harbour, has been a fishing village since the 14th century where it provided one of few havens along the otherwise rugged North Cornwall coast.
- Kingsand & Cawsand. Until 1844 the Devon/Cornwall border passed between these twin villages on the Rame peninsula, look out for the famous boundary marker on a cottage wall.
- Polperro. With its narrow streets lined by typical whitewashed fishermen's cottages, Polperro is a picture-postcard harbour village and a popular tourist destination.
- Mevagissey. Mevagissey harbour dates back to 1774, and has become an integral part of the appeal of this charming fishing village. Named after two Irish saints, Meva and Issey, “Meva” made its name from pilchards, landing up to 15,000 tonnes a year in its heyday.
- Portscatho. Like other small harbours, Portscatho grew around the pilchard industry and was popular due to its protection from the prevailing winds. The fish were cleaned and salted, packed into wooden barrels and destined for Mediterranean ports.
