Oct 9, 2012 · 2:24 pm, Tue October 9, 2012. The former manager of Bob Marley Danny Sims, died in Los Angeles, U.S. on Sunday. Danny Sims signed Bob Marley and the Wailers in 1967 to a five-year contract. Sims later sold the remainder of Marley's contract in 1972. Thereafter he reunited with Marley and became his manager before the reggae icon died in 1981.

Mr. Sims died of colon cancer on Oct. 3 in Los Angeles, his daughter, Anansa Sims-Patterson, said. He was 75.
