Hachi: A Dog's Tale is a 2009 American drama film and a remake of Kaneto Shindo's 1987 Japanese film Hachikō Monogatari. The original film told the true story of the Akita dog named Hachikō who lived in Japan 1923–1935.
This heartwarming true story is an American adaptation of a Japanese tale about a loyal dog named Hachiko. This very special friend would accompany his master to the train station every day and return each afternoon to greet him after work.
Hachiko is a moving real story about the incredible devotion and love of a dog. The film tells the story of the life of Professor Parker Wilson and his faithful dog Hachiko, the Akita Inu breed.
