Haifa ( / ˈhaɪfə / HY-fə; Hebrew: חֵיפָה, romanized : Ḥēyfā, IPA: [ˈχajfa]; Arabic: حَيْفَا, romanized : Ḥayfā) [2] is the third-largest city in Israel —after Jerusalem and Tel Aviv —with a population of 290,306 in 2022.
