John Pielmeier is an actor and writer who began his career with the internationally acclaimed play and movie Agnes of God. Since then he has had three more plays mounted on Broadway and over 25 film, television movies and miniseries produced.

Pielmeier has written many award-winning plays and screenplays, including Agnes of God (1982), Courage (1983), a stage-adaptation of William Peter Blatty's The Exorcist (2012), and countless others. Many of his plays have also been made into movies.
