    John Bassat Stevens IV (born July 28th, 1987) was a contestant on Season 3 of American Idol.

    John auditioned in New York. After singing "That's Amoré" in a Dean Martin impersonation, he sang "The Way You Look Tonight" by The Lettermen. All three judges voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

    John was shown in the second part of Hollywood Week, visibly forgetting his lyrics. Despite this, he survived the cut. He was in a group with Jeremy Worker, Terrance Gaines and Derrick Olivera singing "Tell Her About It" by Billy Joel. Later on, he did enough to make the judges' final thirty-two.

    John was shown in Group 4. He sang "She's Always a Woman" by Billy Joel. He receive enough votes to place himself in the Top 2 for his group, making him a Top 12 finalist.

    John sang "Lately" by Stevie Wonder. He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
