- The First Sliver. Entirely appropriately named, the most popularly-played Sliver commander is, indeed, The First Sliver. Sliver decks are built around having a huge board presence, and what better way is there to do that than have every single Sliver you play come with another one for free?
- Sliver Overlord. The second-most popular Sliver commander, Sliver Overlord offers two abilities: one is absurdly powerful, and the other is largely irrelevant (although when it comes up, oh boy).
- Cloudshredder Sliver. The flying from Galerider Sliver is one thing, but what about flying and haste? Cloudshredder Sliver has got to be more or less the very best non-legendary Sliver out there, purely in terms of how big an impact it has for such a small cost.
- Gemhide Sliver/Manaweft Sliver. It's no secret mana dorks are immensely powerful, and having the option to use your entire team as mana dorks if you feel like it is absolutely bonkers.

- Sliver Queen. Pretty much every MTG sliver deck relies on generating a critical mass of slivers so you can overwhelm your opponents. As well as being one of a number of great five-colour sliver commanders you can put in your sliver EDH deck, Sliver Queen is perfect for quickly building up your board presence, shooting out multiple slivers in a turn without using up your precious cards.
- Sliver Overlord. Another very powerful sliver commander, Sliver Overlord again gives you access to the full five colours, so no sliver is off the table.
- Cloudshredder Sliver. Providing two useful abilities (haste and flying) for just two mana, Cloudshredder Sliver is incredibly efficient. Once it’s out on the field your slivers all get much more aggressive, attacking in the skies on the same turn you play them.
- Manaweft Sliver. The best MTG sliver for ramping, Manaweft Sliver lets all your slivers tap for mana, letting you play more powerful cards that much sooner.
- Sliver Legion. One of the few cards in the list which can fill the role of Commander perfectly, as it can pretty much bring the end of the game itself, Sliver Legion is the perfect card to represent the idea behind Slivers.
- Ward Sliver. Ward Sliver can help you attack safely, and it also protects your team from removal. If you choose the right color, you’ll be able to neutralize most of your opponent’s cards.
- Shifting Sliver. Slivers as a tribe is known for its explosiveness and board presence. Win conditions are usually combo pieces, value, or damage based.
- Manaweft Sliver & Gemhide Sliver. These two Slivers are part of the most underappreciated category of creatures in the game. That is mana dorks, or creatures that produce mana in one way or another.
