What to do in Marietta with a family?
I had come to the Castle about 5 years ago with our Girl Scout troop on Halloween. I knew it would be a good place to take my family on a visit in Marietta. I recommend The Castle and then the Mound Cemetery which is a couple blocks north from the Castle. Entry to the Castle is in the little carriage house.

What is the best place to visit in Marietta?

How do I get into the castle?
Entry to the Castle is in the little carriage house. They charge a modest fee for a private tour of the whole house! It's very interesting and the woman taking us through had a lot of information about the mid 19th century house and it's various owners from a potter's shed to a grand house.

Is Marietta a spooky place?
60 years ago, growing up in beautiful Marietta, I never knew who lived in that grand place. It really was spooky. Now it is not only a wonderful museum of Victorian life but it offers cultulral experiences from that time. And I once walked on the glorious red oriental carpets before my neighbor gave them to the museum.
