    • Cape Cod Canal. Bourne’s focal point is a seven-mile waterway cutting across the base of Cape Cod between Buzzards Bay and Cape Cod Bay. At around seven miles long and 480 feet wide, the Cape Cod Canal was constructed between 1909 and 1914, making intracoastal navigation safer than ever.
