Italian developer One O One Games and publisher META have announced Aftermath, a new narrative-driven psychological thriller that's in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X utilizing the Unreal Engine.
Though there is crafting and (of course) combat, Aftermath intends to double down on story. One O One CEO David Gallo says that Aftermath "aims to tell a mature story through survival mechanics, one that’s far away from the standard wilderness settings that these games feature normally. We are excited to let people get in touch with the uncanny world we’re creating and the characters who inhabit it!"

No release date or window has been set for Aftermath as of yet, but the developer and publisher promise regular updates on its progress throughout 2022. You can wishlist it on Steam.

Aftermath is a game where you play as Charlie, a broken astronaut who returns to a fragmented world and faces a mysterious hunter. You have to survive, learn and overcome in a stunning visual design by Alessandro Bavari, the artist behind Alien: Covenant and Suspiria.
In AFTERMATH, players follow Charlie's journey through an unfamiliar European city, searching for her daughter and fighting not only an unearthly presence, but also her own demons.
