Description. To hike the full stretch of the Appalachian Trail passing through Delaware Water Gap, you will need to begin from a trailhead at Dunfield Creek Nature Area just off I-80. The trail passes countless lakes and travels along scenic ridgelines. The trail enters into Stokes State Forest before ending at a road crossing at US 206.
