- Lake Hope State Park. Lake Hope State Park offers a 500-foot beach perfect for catching some rays. Additional activities at the park include camping, boating, hiking, and mountain biking.
- Long’s Retreat. There are lots of fun activities at Long’s Retreat but just stopping by to swim will only cost you $5 per person. Long’s Retreat is cash only and be sure to bring a little extra in case you want to rent any watersports equipment or ride the waterslides.
- Baylor Beach Water Park. The 146 acres of Baylor Beach park are a great place to spread out and get some space. There’s also a variety of activities on the lake including watercraft rentals, slides, inflatables, and more.
- Buckeye Lake. There are multiple beaches on the 3,100 acres of Buckeye Lake, all with beautiful scenery and great places to picnic. Due to it’s size, the lake is designed as an unlimited horsepower lake.
- Main Street Beach. Address: Main St. at Lake Erie, Vermilion, OH 44089. The Main Street Beach in downtown Vermilion is at the north end of Main Street. There is parking up and down Main St. You may have to park a couple of blocks away.
- Port Clinton City Beach. 1100 E. Perry St., Port Clinton, Ohio 43452. This free, public beach in Port Clinton is a nice little beach on Lake Erie. There are picnic areas, restrooms and changing area, and an ice cream shop near by!
- Lakeside Beach. Address: 236 Walnut Ave., Lakeside, OH 43440. The beach at Lakeside is small, but you can play (or lay) in the sand and swim in the lake and there are lifeguards on duty.
- Maumee Bay State Park. Address: 1750 State Park Road #2, Oregon, OH 43616. This beautiful Lake Erie beach is at Maumee Bay State Park on the northwest corner of Ohio.

Aug 21, 2021 · One of the best beaches in Columbus is the beach of Lake Hudson. This beach has an admission fee. You find here a lovely sandy beach that is perfect for a day at the beach. You can swim at Lake Hudson Beach, but don't forget to check out the current information on whether it's safe to swim from local authorities.
