Boone Hall Plantation comprises 738 acres. The landscape includes areas of cultivated, seasonal crop fields, but also includes preserved wetlands, creeks, and ponds. The most notable feature of the grounds is the grand Avenue of Oaks that was first planted in 1743 and completed by the Horlbeck brothers in 1843.

Boone Hall Plantation currently features a “Black History in America” exhibit that highlights the slave cabins and different themes to tell the African-American story. Visitors view daily aspects of slave life and trace the diverse issues faced in the struggle for freedom on American soil.
Boone Hall Plantation is open for tours 9am-5pm Monday-Saturday and 12pm-5pm on Sundays. Closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. We are also closed for regular tour operations on two other days during the year when special events are being presented.
