Brigitte Auber (born 1928) is a French actress who has worked extensively on film and television. One of her best known role, and a rare English-speaking part, was opposite Cary Grant in Alfred Hitchcock's To Catch a Thief(1955). Speaking to a reporter Lydia Lane in July 1954, Auber explained how she became an actress:
