Through its Writers & Readers, Writers Unplugged and Ohio Center for the Book, Cleveland Public Library engages authors, academics and public figures in discussions surrounding the books and stories that have shaped their lives and how the craft of writing has evolved.
Next stop Cleveland Reads! Cleveland Public Library, the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA), and the Kids’ Book Bank are teaming up for Ride & Read to provide FREE books to commuters.
Cleveland READS enabled the library to make progress toward our strategic priority to Close the Gaps, addressing inequalities facing our city. The benefits of a literate community are not limited to education and students, but affect social welfare, workforce development and even health care.
Jan 9, 2023 · Both the 2023 Cleveland Reads Challenge and the Lit Cleveland Read Local Challenge are now open and accessible online with the goal of getting residents more involved and more literate.
