- Koch was driving a Ford Focus west on Route 156 when her car ran off the right side of the road, went through a field and into a steep drainage ditch, said Master Sgt. Brent Beltz of the Illinois State Police. After going into the drainage ditch, her car flipped and rolled over, coming to a rest on its tires, Beltz said. Koch died at the scene.
