A third season and Exo-Pirates was supposed to dove-tail so that Exo-Pirates ended with the planet Chaos returning to the Solar system in time to help the ExoFleet and its allies defeat the aliens with the Dark Matter from Chaos.
The second season draws to a close with the defeat of the Neosapiens and the liberation of Earth, but it ends with a cliffhanger suggesting that a third season would describe a war against a new alien race, and that the Terrans and the Neosapiens would be forced to ally with each other.
Phaeton learns about Marsh's mission from a Pirate traitor and orders Typhonus to prevent the alliance at all costs. Meanwhile, Winfield teams up with Sean Napier, who is appointed the Commander of entire Earth Resistance, and develops plans of coordinated assaults with other cell leaders.
