In computing, a fatal exception error or fatal error is an error that causes a program to abort and may therefore return the user to the operating system. When this happens, data that the program was processing may be lost.
- Boot your PC from Windows 10 installation media.
- Press Shift + F10 to open Command Prompt.

- Update DirectX. DirectX is a Windows utility that enhances your gaming and multimedia viewing experience on your PC. If you're using an outdated DirectX version, that may be why you're getting the "VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR" error.
