This starter has a powerful 3 KW (4 HP) motor built for the hardest starting applications on Big or Small block Chevy. Designed for 12 volt systems but, also works exceptionally well on 16 volt. Requires a 12 pitch or a 168 tooth flexplate. Recommended for 600 + cubic inch engines. Oversized bearings support the armature and drive assembly.
