• 11 yr. ago. crashdummie. Unbiased discussion on Mackeeper. I'm on the side that says Mackeeper is pretty much useless crap. A long while ago, on my first Mac, I actually bought the software after reading many great reviews, which almost all turned out being phony.
Do not use MacKeeper, I repeat DO NOT. Just like digitaldoctor mentioned, it's essentially ransomware. If you really need a performance software use CleanMyMac 2, just look up reviews.
