Maren Ade (German: [ˈmaːʁən ˈʔaːdə]; born 12 December 1976) is a German film director, screenwriter and producer. Ade lives in Berlin, teaching screenwriting at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg in Ludwigsburg. Together with Janine Jackowski and Jonas Dornbach, she runs the production company Komplizen Film.
Maren Ade is a director, writer and producer of acclaimed films such as Toni Erdmann, Everyone Else and Der Wald vor lauter Bäumen. She was born in Karlsruhe in 1976 and co-founded the \"Komplizen\" film company in 2001.
