Having had the opportunity to see her quartet live on a few occasions, it is unavoidable that this CD does not entirely do justice to her music; however, having said this it is a very enjoyable listen.

Her vocals range from rum sweet on Jobim's "Corcovado" to matter-of-fact tough in "Days of Wine and Roses." Her "Angle Eyes" puts it all together. Her classical trumpet training underpins both virtuosity and melodic risks.
