I hurt 2 people in middle school because I was being bullied. Even at 25 I feel like an asshole. I grew up with eczema and was overweight as a kid. People were always telling me I was ugly, I was fat. Constant staring and insults as a kid. Even had teachers show hostility to me.
From deep inside the lives of young adolescents as they transition into their teen years, this 75- minute film features young people from a wide range of ethnic and economic backgrounds in one-on-one and small-group conversations and in their school, home, and social lives.
Middle school is around 11-13 years old and high school is 14-18 years old. Almost all of the expulsions I saw before high school were due to fighting or wildly inappropriate behavior (one kid got caught getting a blowjob in the band room).
