Michael Lee McDaniel (born March 6, 1983) is an American football coach who is the head coach for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). A former long-time assistant and descendant of the Shanahan coaching tree, McDaniel began his NFL coaching career as an intern for the Denver Broncos in 2005.

Mike McDaniel is the 11th head coach in Dolphins history and led the team to back-to-back playoff appearances in his first two seasons (2022-23). He also served as the offensive play-caller and helped the Dolphins set several team records and reach the Pro Bowl in both years.
- A Life in Football. McDaniel concluded his playing career at Yale, but it was his childhood experience that opened a door into the coaching world. As a youth, McDaniel rode his bike to Broncos training camp on the campus of the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado.
