Nicole Lynn Mitchell (born October 10, 1974) is an American politician, military officer, and meteorologist. She represents the cities of Woodbury and Maplewood in the Minnesota Senate. Mitchell is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard, commanding the 126th Weather Flight.
Nicole began her career in meteorology right out of High School, when she joined the Air National Guard and was trained by the military first as a Weather Observer, then as a Weather Forecaster. Her work with the military has given her the opportunity to forecast weather both around the country and around the world.
Nicole Mitchell is an American Air Force veteran, television, meteorologist, and also politician serving in the Minnesota Senate since December 2022. In addition, she is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard where she has been commanding the 126th Weather Flight since September 2019.
