Pennie has added a new Qualifying Life Event (QLE) for new customers who have an annual household income equal to or below 150% federal poverty level (FPL), who qualify for financial assistance.
A household's FPL is used to determine eligibility for certain programs and benefits, including eligibility for premium tax credits and cost sharing reductions through Pennie, as well as eligibility for Medicaid (Medical Assistance or MA) and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
Your 1095-A tax form. If you received financial assistance to help lower your monthly health coverage premiums in 2023 through Pennie, you must file a federal tax return. Pennie will mail or send all forms by January 31 st – you will need this form when you fill out your 2023 taxes.
