May 2, 2015 · ISTA/D (aka Rheingold) is current dealership diagnostic software for all Exx and Fxx cars. ISTA/D is the replacement for older dealership DIS diagnostic software.
Feb 9, 2017 · I got Rheingold couple months ago and the more you use it, the more you get the grips of it. It's definitely not your usual piece of software GUI. There are few basic functions on the internet like registering the battery, etc, but based on my experience you'll have to play with it yourself.
May 26, 2020 · I’ve seen Rheingold pop up often as the ultimate scanning software. However I can’t seem to find where to buy it. Tons of download sites, but I was curious to see how much the legitimate version would be.
Currently, all Exx and Fxx vehicles are diagnosed at the dealer level using the BMW ISTA/D, also known as RHEINGOLD. It is intended to take the place of the previous DIS diagnostic software.

Mar 13, 2018 · I noticed Rheingold USA ( http://rheingoldusa.com/) is selling ISTA/D for $89-$99 depending on a license. With my $20 ENET cable, this will be even less than what I paid for VW/Audi's VCDS software and cable. I always thought BMW software would cost more than a VW one.
Jun 22, 2017 · Rheingold is definitely more intuitive but all the coding guides and such are for NCS Expert. NCS expert/INPA is probably still better for DIYers at this point. Rheingold freaks me out a bit because it will supposedly recode all modules sometimes which uses a lot of power.
