Sarah Marie Fisher (born October 4, 1980) is an American retired professional race car driver who competed in the Indy Racing League (IRL, now IndyCar Series) and the Indianapolis 500 intermittently from 1999 to 2010. She also raced in the NASCAR West Series in 2004 and 2005.
These records include the first woman to win the pole position for a major North American open-wheel event, the fastest woman to ever qualify for the Indianapolis 500 and the current track record holder at Kentucky Speedway. Fisher was an INDYCAR team owner for eight years, another first by a woman.
