The Sierra Madre is the longest mountain range in the Philippines. Spanning over 540 kilometers (340 mi), it runs from the province of Cagayan down to the province of Quezon, forming a north–south direction on the eastern portion of Luzon, the largest island of the archipelago.

Sierra Madre - Mexican Range, Mountains, Plateau: The Sierra Madre Occidental extends approximately 700 miles (1,100 km) from northwest to southeast and is about 100 to 300 miles (160 to 480 km) in width. Summits mostly exceed elevations of 6,000 feet (1,800 metres), and some peaks rise above 10,000 feet (3,000 metres).
The Sierra Madre range trends from northwest to southeast, and is approximately 25 mi (40 km) long. High peaks in the range include MacPherson Peak at 5,747 feet (1,752 m) in elevation, and the highest point in the range, Peak Mountain at 5,843 feet (1,781 m) in elevation. [2]
