Swing Girls (스윙걸즈) was a girl group under Jang Entertainment and later Star Media. They made their debut on August 19, 2011 with the digital single "RUNx3".

Their group name is a combination of the letter "S" from "S-line", and the word "wings", meaning their desire to become the wings of the K-Pop industry.

    2011: Debut with "RUNx3"

On August 19, 2011, Swing Girls made their official debut under Jang Entertainment with the release of their first digital single "RUNx3". They gained attention for their "beautiful D-cup women" concept and for member Aran's previous beauty pageant career. Their debut single, "RUNx3", placed #6 in rankings on many major South Korean live music charts. One industry representative commented: "Their record is surprising, especially since they're a rookie girl group who has yet to even start music program promotions. It seems their addictive song and sexy concept is working with the male fanbase." Despite their debut's success, by December 2011, the group became inactive. During this time, all members except Jenny departed from the girl group.

2012: Lineup change and Chinese debut announcement

In 2012, Swing Girls returned with two new members: Jihee and Lina. Reformed as a three-member girl group, they announced their entry into the Chinese music industry and signed a contract with the Chinese brokerage company, Star Media, for music promotions. However, the group only did a few events in China then became inactive once again shortly later.

    2014–2023: Second generation

By 2014, all of the members of Swing Girls have left the group and an entirely new line-up of members was recruited. Hence, the new generation of Swing Girls consisted of Riwon, Hyungmi and Sori. With the new three members, they would once again return to focusing on promotions in China. On July 21, 2014, they released their first Chinese single album "Starry Sky Sparkling", consisting of original song "Round & Round" (released in both Chinese and Korean), "Popsicle" (a re-recorded version of the original line-up's song "Popsicle") and "One By One" (a remake of JQT's "One By One"). On January 7, 2015, they released their second Chinese single, "Dear I Do", in celebration of Valentine's Day. In February 2016, they were invited to the United States to participate in the "Asian Star Carnival" and announced their entry into the U.S. market soon. On May 10, 2016, they released the digital single "Promise You" (in both Chinese and Korean). In November 2016, the group released their first compilation self-titled EP "Swing Girls" on cd. The EP consisted of all of their songs, including the previous lineup's song "RUNx3". Between 2017 and 2019, they would only do a few group activities occasionally and mainly focused on individual activities. In November 2019, Swing Girls announced that member Sori had left the group due to family reasons and they intended to recruit new member. On January 9th, 2020, Swing Girls performed at YiYongTang concert with former member Jihee but didn't officially announced her comeback to the group. On August 18, 2021, their 2016 song 'Promise You' was re-released as a new song, now available on international streaming platforms. While their Weibo account continues to post until early 2023, the group have presumably disbanded silently as their last group activity and the members' last appearance on the account was in January 2020.
